the gift of thumbs...aren't you glad?

in primary the children have been challenged to memorize all of the 13 articles of faith. if they memorize one & pass it off they get to put a leaf on this big tree that they have.

last sunday both girls were so excited to tell me that they had passed another article of faith. reese told me that she had passed off #7, so i asked her to repeat it to me...which she did wonderfully. when we got home she was equally excited to tell her dad, he walked in the door & said "dad! i know the 7th article of faith." "ok. let me hear it". "we believe in the gift of thumbs...." immediately aaron & i started laughing. i just couldn't stop. it was just a slip up because she really did say it correctly but i can't help but laugh now every time i think about it. the gift of thumbs.
