It is about that time to send out an update to anyone who might want to know what we are up to these days. The last posting came around the 4th of July & since then we have been only a little bit busy. Reese had to get her 12 month vaccinations & she ended up getting 5 shots of 7 vaccinations. Once we got her calmed down, she did okay but was fussy for the next 2-3 days. No sleep for the mom once again. Just in time for her to get back to normal it was time for us to take off.
Aaron has been planning a fishing trip with his dad, brother, & uncles up to Alaska for the last year. They left the last week in July & so being that I didn't want to be left behind I took Reese & we went up to WA. We spent most of the time in Moses Lake with my good friend Kim & her little girl Teagan, who is only 2 weeks older than Reese. They became good buddies fast. You couldn't find two girls that were more opposite. Teagan has blonde, if any, hair, fair complexion, mild tempered, completely content, listens to her mother, & loves to eat whatever she can get her hands on. Well, if Reese is her opposite you have an idea as to what we are dealing with. I think that after 10 days Teagan was glad to see us go. Reese was kind of a bully & doesn't listen to her mother when she is trying to teach her about sharing.

While we were there in Moses Lake we went & visited my grandad's grave. Kim has been really good about taking care of it for us but we cut some flowers from her mom's rose garden & took them to the cemetary. Reese was a good helper.
Over the weekend we did go visit Scott & Becca (my brother & his family) in Seattle. We went to the zoo & it was so hot. Seattle hardly even gets up in the 90's & it was 94 degrees. I was exhausted walking up & down the trails. We got to go to a bird show that Reese really enjoyed....the birds flew right over our heads. We saw the tigers playing in the water & the polar bears go for a swim. They had a great kids play area & Reese had a good time. After a few hours at the zoo we were ready to go home. It was really nice to spend time with Scott, Becca, & the girls. This time it was Reese's turn to get bullied around...maybe I should say bossed around. Her big cousin Maiclinn is definitely from the same thread & their personalities clashed just a little bit as they both are pretty stubborn & want things "their" way. All in all, we had a great time.In the mean time, Aaron was out catching King Salmon & other salmon galore. He was especially proud of his 45 pound King Salmon....it brought quite the grin. We really missed him & we decided that fishing trips needed to be weekend affairs & save the 10 trips for family vacations.
We finally had our ultrasound on Friday. I told Aaron that since I wouldn't let him find out what the sex of our baby was the last time....he could choose whether or not we found out this time. Of course he wanted to know. We were almost disappointed because the legs were curled up but we found out that Reese is going to have a little sister. I am thrilled because that means I won't have to buy new clothes. Financially, Aaron should be happy about that too, although he said that next time he is going to fast for a boy! I just pray that this one is going to be much more mellow than Reese. She continues to run me ragged.
