n the 90's & when you don't have AC or a swamp cooler you really feel it. So, we installed a ceiling fan in our room & my parents replaced the one in theirs because the motor was making too much noise. I think that it is finally time for us to head down to the lake....it should be warm enough by now & Reese got a PFD for her birthday. I think we are going to break the waverunner in for Family Night.Speaking of birthdays, both Aaron & Reese had birthdays this month & you can guess which one had an all out party. Well, we say it was for Reese's birthday but what two year old really cares about anything but the presents? I did a
fishing theme for her because she recently went fishing with her dad for the first time & had a blast. She still talks about it. First he took her to the resevoir but I was not patient enough, so after an hour we left. The next day we rode up to the very well stocked fish pond & within seconds of dropping that bait in the water she had one hooked. For her party she fished for
her presents from the "fish pond". She'd get one on the line rip it open, not even looking at what she received & then would run back to the fishing pole & say "Catch, Daddy, Catch".Reese couldn't tell Aaron "Happy Birthday, Daddy". Instead it is "Happy Family, Daddy" .
In preparation for the party, Aaron & my dad got working on Thursday night pulling out the stump of a tree we cut down last fall so we could extend our patio deck. Then Friday night, in the pouring down rain, they built the extension. What troopers. It turned out really nice & we got a iron gazebo to provide shade. Now with gazebo, the extension & our little backyard garden our backyard is starting to come together. We have already spent more time in the back yard in a few days then the whole time we have lived here. As nice as home improvement projects are they cost money. Now we have to save up to redo our bathroom. The shower is currently out of commission & we were going to redo it but I think we are going to wait a while & just fix the shower so that it is usable until we have a little bit more cash.
The girls are doing so awesome & I can't believe how much they are growing up. Charley is almost sitting up on her own & she can sometimes follow you when you clap. Reese is putting all of her words together making sometimes the most hilarious sentences. Or transposing words from "Ding Dong" to "Bing Gong". They are so much fun & have enriched our lives more than we could imagine.
Mexico was great. Our favorite thing was the golfing that we were able to do. We got to golf the "Pebble Beach of Central America". It had 2 courses the Desert & the Ocean. It was so much fun. I love that Aaron & I get to do things like that together. The rest of the time was spent being pampered by the company. Spa treatments, sport fishing, elaborate dinners. It was nice. We really didn't think much about the girls because we knew that they were in good hands. When we got home Reese was so excited to see & us & told us that we went on a "Trip Mex-co". Every once in a while when both of us disappear she thinks we are in "Mex-co" & "Reese come Mex-co too". Next time I guess we have to take the girls.
