quarry speech

this won't make sense to anyone who has not read "the princess academy". 


a few months ago i started to read to my girls every night at bedtime. it has been especially helpful in getting evb to settle down to fall asleep. we recently finished a book called "the princess academy" where a girl grows up in a rock quarry. in the quarry the workers are about to speak to each other without words, a kind of telepathic speech. so the other day, reese got all excited when she & charley were sitting on the couch.

"mom! mom! guess what?  i just quarry spoke to charley!"

"really? how?"

"well, i wanted her to turn on the tv so i wouldn't have to get off of the couch, so i quarry spoke to her & then she got up & turned it on!"

i'll just let her think that she had such cool capabilities. :)
